Some more about the league:
Created in 2016 by Justin Vermeulen, this auspicious league has been a rock-solid foundation of turmoil between friends.
The league is headquartered in the beautiful KwaZulu-Natal South Coast area, with ex-pat members living currently in Canada, Hong Kong, England, Vietnam and even the likes of Johannesburg and Ugie taking part in the league.
Suspicious deals (made mostly behind closed doors), members having mid-season emotional breakdowns due to what was later termed as #MitchLuck and/or #GuyLuck, mini-battles within the league for personal pride between arch-enemies, and down-right shambolic tactics to get the better of the opposition are commonplace.
Why go through the torture? To win the league, gain the coveted trophy and have the distinguished honour of renaming the league for the next year. And ensure that Vogt doesn’t win. (It used to be Justin, but he won his own league, eventually… So what are a bunch of guys to do now? That’s right! Harass the next poor victim!)

The "Good vs Evil" Chart
Good versus evil. Johno versus Jono. Justin is in the mix there too, creating the chaos and creating bets. The outcome: Justin claims that Simelane will score more points in 2020 than Jack Goodhue. Johno V claims that Jack will score more. The winner receives a 6-pack from the loser. Jono Bestwick just seems to be an innocent pawn in this whole debacle, come to think of it…
Things that have been mentioned...
Whether they like it or not, what is said on WhatApp, stays on the world wide web.
“@Nick Hannaway, this could be the greatest comeback in the history of our league if you make the semis”
Jason Price, May 25 2019, after Nick being 1 (win) and 6 (losses) at the beginning of the league, then 4-&-8, then ending up with 7-&-8 after round 15, securing himself a spot in the semi-finals. Nick eventually went on to win the final.
“Johno, for your draft notes, dmak’s full name is spelt “Aiden Toua”
Justin Vermeulen, 18 January 2019
“Question… The first time I played fantasy rugby two years ago, Justin had 21 trophies, he still has 21…. Is 21 the max you can win or has Justin just struggled the last few years?”
Brent Kotze, 11 February 2020
“That dirty Sanchez was so dirty that I feel like a need a shower…”
Guy Ducasse, 09 February 2020 (After coming back from a 60-point deficit) to beat Byron by 8 points with effectively 2 players)
“Johno Vogt 2020 champ”
~ Johno Vogt, 11 February 2020
“You misspelled chimp”
~ Jono Bestwick, 11 February 2020
“That’s what she said.”

Rights, Rules, Regulations & Responsibilities
- No collusion is allowed.
- No short-term trades are permitted.
- No picking and dumping players just before match-day to ensure others managers cannot pick up available players for the weekend. Group consensus will rule/decide if this is being done maliciously by any managers.
- Haggling is encouraged.
- The league winner will get to name the league for the following year.
- The ‘winner’ of the Sacko/Blue Balls trophy is to purchase league pro for the following year.
- When Justin eventually wins the league, someone has to buy him a Bells. Preferably the ‘winner’ of the Sacko/Blue Balls trophy.
- Dumping high-profile/point-earning players into the player hub is not allowed (particularly at the end of the season if a manager has given up hope in winning). If players are dumped in this way, it will be agreed that no-one can pick them up, and they will be left to rot in the hub.
- All disputes that cannot be settled will be determined/settled by the league co-ordinator, Justincredibles.
